Blue Streak boys win Walker/Dilbone Relays

Wauseon girls finish third

The Archbold Walker/Dilbone Relays were held on Friday as the host school won the boys meet with 97 points, 13 ahead of second place Bowling Green. After Liberty Center who took third with 81 points, Wauseon’s boys placed fourth with 78.

Events won by the Blue Streak boys were the 800 sprint medley, the 4×100 meter relay, 4×110 shuttle hurdle, 4×200 relay and 4×400 relay. Additionally, Shane Bechtel, Isaiah Esquibel and Brennan Short combined to place first in the pole vault relay.

Wauseon won the distance medley, the 1600 sprint medley, and the 4×800 relay.

The Pettisville high jump relay team of Jaret Rychener, Zach Morrison and Jack Stuber placed first.

The highest area finisher in the girls competition was Wauseon who placed third with 53.5 points. Anthony Wayne won the meet with 116 points.

The Indians won the 4×103 meter weight relay, and took second in the 4×100 shuttle hurdle. Also finishing runner-up was their shot put relay team.

Pettisville’s girls finished with 45 points, which was one point ahead of Archbold to finish in fifth place. They picked up wins in the distance medley, the 1600 sprint medley, and the 4×800 relay.

Archbold took first in the 4×400 relay.
