Indians win a pair

The Wauseon softball team picked up a pair of wins earlier this week as they defeated Rossford 12-0 on the road Monday, and bested Waite 16-2 at home on Tuesday. Both contests ended after five innings via the OHSAA run rule.

Against Waite, Reagan Spadafore and Christina Norman each knocked in three runs. Spadafore was 4 for 4 in the batter’s box while Norman went 2 for 3.

Alisa Shelt got the win in the circle in both games as well. She allowed two runs on four hits and struck out seven in three innings of work Tuesday against Waite.

Wauseon (2-0) is at Napoleon today, and Defiance Friday, before returning home to take on Hilltop in a doubleheader on Saturday.
