Blue Streaks down Swanton in Northwest Ohio Athletic League boys basketball opener

Archbold boys basketball kicked off NWOAL action with a 63-39 win at home over Swanton Thursday.

The Blue Streaks shot 43 percent (23 for 53) from the floor while the Bulldogs shot 38 percent (16 for 42).

Eli Miller had 13 points for Archbold, while both Bryce Williams and Rigo Ramos chipped in with 11. Swanton’s Zach Dziengelewski had a game high 16 points.

The Streaks then defeated Ottawa Hills 55-46 at home Saturday, while Swanton hosted Lake and won by a final of 52-41.

Archbold (9-2, 1-0 NWOAL) is at Wauseon Friday for a crucial league match-up. Swanton (0-1 NWOAL), after a game at Northwood Monday, is at Bryan in NWOAL play Friday.
