Alexa Leppelmeier wins, Nichole Foor places third for Pettisville at Otsego Invitational

TONTAGANY – Members from three county cross country teams took part in the Otsego Invitational on Saturday. In the boys race, Pettisville finished fifth as a team with 164 points, while Evergreen took eighth at 226 points.

The Pettisville girls, led by Alexa Leppelmeier who placed first overall, took fourth as a team with 64 points. Alexa Leppelmeier was first with a time of 20:09.22, Nichole Foor (20:33.47) was third, Morgan Leppelmeier (21:54.03) 12th, Kate Stuber (22:36.36) 21st, Sarah Foor (24:35.39) 35th and Sarah Herring (25:28.12) 40th.

Evergreen’s girls were led by Sarah Schwan who placed 19th with a time of 22:31.63.

Brett Bettinger of Swanton placed 11th in the boys race with a time of 18:34.08.

Leading the Pettisville boys were Ben Gray (19:02.38) who finished 21st, Zach Morrison (19:05.89) 22nd, Caleb Nolander (19:37.89) 34th, and Evan Warner (19:57.79) 40th.

Evergreen was led by Ben Schwan who placed 17th with a time of 18:49.33, and Phoenix VanOstrand who was 37th with a time of 19:43.95.
