Pettisville downs Fayette; both teams lose Saturday

Pettisville got the better of Fayette, 39-26, at home in Buckeye Border Conference boys basketball Friday night.

Cayden Jacoby led all scorers with 15 points. The Blackbirds also had Jaret Beck finish with 10 points and Joey Ripke nine.

The Eagles did not have a scorer in double figures. They were led by Kaden Frenn and Wyatt Mitchell who scored seven apiece.

The Birds dropped a 59-56 overtime decision at Liberty Center Saturday. The Eagles fell 34-26 at home to Hicksville.

Fayette (7-9, 2-2 BBC) will host North Central this Friday. Pettisville (11-5, 4-0) visits Edon Friday and Ayersville on Saturday.
