The Wauseon swimming and diving team had a pair of tight finishes at their home meet Tuesday. The boys bested St. John’s Jesuit 85-77, while the girls finished tied at 81 with Notre Dame Academy.

Xander Ankney won a pair events for the Wauseon boys. He took home titles in the 100 and 200-yard freestyle races.

Isaiah Bourn claimed a win in the 50-yard freestyle for the Indians. Wauseon had winning relay teams in the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay.

Winning multiple events for the Wauseon girls were Reese Ankney and Grace Rhoades. Ankney was first in both the 200 and 500-yard freestyles, while Rhoades finished first in the 200 IM and 100-yard butterfly.

Also grabbing win for the girls were Emilie Wasnich (50-yard freestyle), Ashley Fisher (100-yard backstroke), and Natalie Kuntz (100-yard breaststroke).

In diving for Wauseon, Camryn Rash took third on the girls side as did Austyn Schweinhagen on the boys side.
