Locals secure first team honors

Fulton County athletes were honored when the 2022 All-Northwest District football teams were released recently, as chosen by members of the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association.

For Wauseon in Division IV, wide receiver Jude Armstrong and defensive back Tyson Rodriguez were named to the all-district first team.

Second team all-district for the Indians were receiver Sam Smith, defensive lineman Justin Duncan, linebacker Austin Kovar and defensive back Ethan Borton.

Running back Carson Dominique was first team all-district in Division V for Archbold. On the defensive side, Archbold linebacker Gabe Chapa and defensive back Chase Miller made the first team. Punter Krayton Kern was also selected to the first team for the Blue Streaks.

Second team all-district from Archbold were offensive linemen Mason Siegel and Brian Burrowes.

Delta was represented on the all-district second team as running back Jerremiah Wolford made it. Defensively, lineman Holden Barnes and defensive back James Ruple made the all-district second team.

Honorable mention all-district from the county in Division V were Karter Behnfeldt of Archbold and Justin Ruple of Delta.

Evergreen had one representative honored in Division VI, in the form of receiver Riley Dunbar who made the all-district first team.
