Wauseon overcomes early deficit to down Patrick Henry

HAMLER — Wauseon shut out Patrick Henry after the first quarter, coming from behind to pick up a 38-13 win over the Patriots Friday in Northwest Ohio Athletic League football.

The Indians have now won three games in a row as they improve to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the NWOAL.

Wauseon passed for 313 yards on the night, 307 coming from Trey Parsons on 27 of 31 passing, a pair of touchdowns and an interception.

Jude Armstrong caught 12 passes for 144 yards and a TD. Tyson Rodriguez made 11 catches for 107 yards. Sam Smith had three catches for 46 yards and a score.

The Indians had a pair of rushing TDs on one-yard runs by Ryan Friend and Parsons. Friend was their leading rusher at 43 yards on nine carries.

For PH, quarterback Nash Meyer completed 15 of 27 for 158 yards and a score, while adding 32 yards on the ground.

Wauseon will look to keep things rolling this week when they welcome a tough Delta squad, who is 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the league.
