Shuffling takes place for local teams in latest rankings

A few area teams climbed the rankings while others dropped in the second edition of the Ohio High School Athletic Association football computer ratings announced on Tuesday.

Wauseon moved up one spot in Division IV, Region 14, following a 35-6 win over Swanton last Friday. The Indians improved to 3-2 on the season and 1-1 in the NWOAL after the win. They host Evergreen this week for Homecoming.

Liberty Center (5-0) remains atop the rankings in Division V, Region 18, after their 16-0 win over Archbold.

The Blue Streaks (4-1) fell from sixth down to ninth in the latest Region 18 ratings. On the flip side, Delta (4-1) leapfrogged Archbold and moved from 11th to sixth after beating Bryan 28-12 last Friday.

Archbold and Delta will meet on the gridiron this week.

Evergreen (2-3), who was defeated 26-0 at Patrick Henry in week five, dropped down to 16th in the rankings for Division VI, Region 22. The Vikings were 14th in the rankings a week ago.
