Strong second half propels Archbold over St. Henry

ST. HENRY — Archbold’s defense tightened up in the second half and shut out St. Henry 20-0, helping the Blue Streaks break away for a 34-10 victory over the Redskins Friday night.

The Streaks are now 2-0 on the young season.

Blue Streak quarterback Cade Brenner finished the game 11 of 16 for 221 yards and had touchdown passes to Chase Miller, Carson Dominique and Lucas Dominique.

Carson Dominique (39 yards rushing) added a pair of TDs on the ground. Lucas Dominique caught two passes for 60 yards and that score.

Archbold only outgained St. Henry by a single yard, 273-272. The Redskins rushed for a total of 132 yards with Harrison Wendel leading the way with 55 yards on 16 carries.

Archbold closes the non-league slate at home versus Lake (0-2) this Friday.
