Delta was being shut out until the third quarter by Division VII powerhouse John F. Kennedy Catholic School out of Warren, Ohio Friday night, and by then it was too late for the Panthers to recover, falling to the Eagles 37-12.
JFK quarterback Caleb Hadley threw for a touchdown and ran for two more.
The Panthers got on the board in the third by way of quarterback James Ruple’s one-yard run, while in the fourth he threw a 20-yard TD to Bryar Knapp.
Jerremiah Wolford paced the Panther ground attack with 58 yards on 16 carries.
The Eagles outgained the Panthers 320-106.
Delta (1-1) travels to Paulding (0-2) Friday to close the non-league portion of their schedule.
