Bryce Williams of Archbold named to Honors Court at Trine


ANGOLA, IN — The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has announced the recipients of the 2021-22 Academic Awards. The Trine University men’s basketball team had numerous student-athletes named to the Honors Court for their efforts in the classroom, among those being Bryce Williams of Archbold.

To be eligible for the NABC Honors Court, a men’s basketball junior, senior or graduate student must finish the 2021-22 school year with a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or higher.

Williams is a two-time Honors Court member after being named in the 2020-21 school year as well. On the floor, Trine finished the season with an 18-9 record and an appearance in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Tournament Semifinals.

The Trine men’s basketball team also received the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award. This goes out to programs who complete the 2021-22 academic year with a team grade point average of 3.0 or above.
