Sectional assignments were announced for local baseball teams on Sunday by the Ohio High School Athletic Association.

Wauseon is seeded ninth in the Division II, Archbold District. The Indians face eighth-seeded Toledo Central Catholic in a sectional semifinal on Wednesday, May 18. The winner will be at second-seeded Napoleon Friday, May 20 for the sectional title.

Evergreen earned the fourth seed in the Division III, Defiance District, and will host No. 12 Swanton for an opening round game on May 18. Archbold, seeded fifth, is in the other semifinal and hosts Northwood that same day. The winners will face each other two days later at the higher seeded teams site for a sectional championship.

At the other end of the bracket, No. 14 seed Delta visits top-seeded Ottawa Hills in the opening round.

Pettisville was seeded 10th in the Division IV, Bryan District. The Blackbirds are at fifth-seeded Ayersville Tuesday, May 17 in a sectional semifinal, with fourth-seeded Montpelier awaiting the winner for a sectional final held on Thursday, May 19.

Fayette, seeded 12th, takes on seventh-seeded Hicksville May 17, with the winner heading to Antwerp to face the second-seeded Archers for a sectional final on May 19.
