Wauseon senior Marisa Seiler shared Division III Northwest District Player of the Year honors with Brooklyn Thrash of Elmwood on the all-district girls basketball teams that were recently announced.

Oddly enough, the pair met in a district final game played at Anthony Wayne in February, a contest won by Seiler and the Indians, 72-58.

Seiler closes her Wauseon career as the school’s all-time leading scorer. She averaged nearly 22 (21.9) points per game during her senior season.

Second team All-Northwest District from Fulton County was Bekah Bowser of Evergreen. Autumn Pelok of Wauseon garnered third team all-district honors.

D-III honorable mention were Archbold’s Leah McQuade and Addi Ziegler, as well as Kadence Carroll of Wauseon.
