Despite falling into an early hole, the Wauseon baseball team collected 16 runs on 11 hits to dispatch of Port Clinton, 16-2, in five innings on their home field Tuesday.

Since the game was moved from Port Clinton to Wauseon, the Indians were the visiting team on the scoreboard.

JJ Kauffman led Wauseon at the plate with three hits. He finished 3 for 3 with two RBIs and three runs scored.

Also for the Indians, both Carter Bzovi and Travis Smith added a pair of RBIs on just one hit apiece. Brady Kinnersley had a pair of RBIs without collecting a hit.

Kinnersley also earned the win on the mound after pitching three innings and allowing two runs on four hits. Seth Monk took the loss for Port Clinton after he was pegged for 11 runs on nine hits.

Wauseon (4-1) hits the road for games at Evergreen Thursday and Archbold on Friday.
