Local wrestling teams will be participating in the 2016 OHSAA Wrestling Dual Team Tournaments beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 27. Regional semi-finals and finals will be on Wednesday, Feb. 3, and the 4th team state tournament will be in Columbus on Sunday, Feb. 14.
In Division II, Region 9, Wauseon will host first round matches. The ninth seed Bryan will face off against Bowling Green, with the winner wrestling top-seeded Wauseon in second round action. The winner of that match will wrestle the winner of Toledo Central Catholic and Elida. That winner advances to the D-II regional final at a site to be determined.
In Division III, Region 17, No. 3 seed Montpelier will face off against Ottawa-Glandorf at Wayne Trace. At Eastwood, the third seed Swanton will wrestle Otsego.
Also, Delta will be a host site for eighth-seeded Liberty Center against the nine seed Evergreen, with the winner facing top-seeded Delta. The fifth seed Archbold will face Elmwood, with that winner facing the winner of the Liberty Center, Evergreen and Delta bracket. The quarterfinal winner will go on to the D-III regional final at a site to be determined.

Approximately 413 Ohio schools are entered in the 2016 team tournaments, in its 4th year of competition. Full team results will be available on the websites, as well as pairings for the regional final and the state tournament in the coming weeks.
