The Northwest Ohio Athletic League has released their all-league teams in football as Swanton and Delta made their playoff exits over the weekend.

Swanton’s Bryce McComb was selected as the NWOAL Offensive Player of the Year while Wauseon’s Jacob Flory, Liberty Center’s Logan Smith, and Chance Veller of Delta won the award for defensive player of the year.

Wauseon head coach Travis Cooper was named the NWOAL Coach of the Year, his third straight year of taking home the honor.

Making first team All-NWOAL on offense for Wauseon were offensive linemen Jacob Raabe and Tyler Wilson. Archbold wide receiver Seth Mayer also made the first team.

For Delta, running back Jesse Beverly and center Austin Sayen made first team All-NWOAL. Evergreen wide receiver Josh Laux was also first team all-league.

Swanton wide receiver Gunnar Oakes joined his quarterback on the first team.

On defense for Wauseon, outside of Flory, defensive backs Josh Whitcomb and Ty Leininger, defensive end Danny Hench, and defensive tackle Wilson were named first team All-NWOAL.

Delta defensive back Dustin Marteney, linebacker Devon Richard, and defensive tackle Veller were on first team as well.

For Swanton, Robbie Gilsdorf made first team All-NWOAL as a defensive back, while JD Reisinger qualified from his defensive tackle position.
