Locals honored on All-Northwest District team

Many local athletes were represented on the all-district football teams that were recently released.

In Division IV, Wauseon had a pair of players make the first team. Lineman Trevor Rodriguez was selected first team all-district defense. Punter Joey Shema made the first team as a specialist.

Second team all-district defense for the Indians was defensive back Noah Tester. Isaac Wilson and Miguel Gomez were both honorable mention all-district.

Archbold lineman Kasyn Schaffner was first team all-district defense in Division V. Second team all-district offense for the Blue Streaks was lineman Matthew Gladieux. Defensive back Elijah Zimmerman made second team all-district.

Honorable mention for the Streaks were Anthony Cruz, Noah Gomez and Tony Grime.

For Delta in Division VI, punter Hunter Tresnan-Reighard made the first team as a specialist. Lineman Nate Kohlhofer was second team all-district defense for the Panthers.

Second team all-district offense was Chandler Lumbrezer of Evergreen. Hunter Vanwert and Nick Beemer were honorable mention for the Vikings.
