The OHSAA football playoffs are nearly upon us as we enter week 9 of the regular season coming up on Friday. With that, another set of computer rankings were released on Tuesday, showing us who would qualify if the playoffs began today.

Wauseon moved up to the top spot in Division IV, Region 12, after beating the previously unbeaten Swanton Bulldogs 41-23 last Friday. The Indians were third in last week’s poll. They are at Evergreen and home against Patrick Henry to finish the season.

Swanton remained in fourth place in Division V, Region 16, despite suffering the loss to the Indians. The Bulldogs finish up by hosting Liberty Center this week and Delta the following week.

As for Delta, the Panthers sit at eighth in Division VI, Region 20. Delta was seventh last week before moving to 5-3 on the season with a 13-5 win at Bryan.

Liberty Center (5-3) sits ahead of the Panthers at seventh in Region 20.
