The Wauseon girls tennis team hosted a familiar opponent Thursday, falling to Bryan 5-0.

In singles, Bryan’s Katie Farrell defeated Alisa Shelt of Wauseon 6-1, 6-0 in first singles. The Golden Bears’ Olivia DeLeon bested Julie Waldron 6-0, 6-3 in second singles.

In third singles, Taylor Peters of Bryan won versus Sam Aeschliman 6-1, 6-0.

The Golden Bears also earned a pair of wins in the doubles portion of the competition.

In first doubles, Bryan’s Kate Grothaus and Sloane Brown defeated Wauseon’s Sierra Rupp and Paige Smith 6-3, 6-2. Emilee Bassett and Kaitlyn Posey of Bryan won 6-0, 6-2 over Alizia Kudlica and Tatum Barnes of Wauseon in second doubles.

After hosting Bowsher yesterday, Wauseon visits Rossford for a match today at 5 p.m.
