The Wauseon golf team defeated Bryan in Northwest Ohio Athletic League action Thursday at home, a match that went to the fifth person for each team as both the Indians and Golden Bears shot a 178 collectively.
Wauseon’s fourth and fifth golfers, Caleb Leu and Andy Scherer, both shot a 47. Max Eckhardt, Bryan’s fifth golfer, had a 73.
Leading the Indians were Trent Armstrong with a 42, Dylan Grahn, 43, and Eric Parker, 46.
The Indians took fifth at the Bryan Golden Bear Invitational Saturday. Kalida won the tournament, the Bears took second, Napoleon third, and Defiance fourth, followed by Wauseon.
Parker finished with a 74, Armstrong 76, Grahn 84, and Scherer 90.
Connor Shirkey of Bryan was the medalist, with a 67.
Tuesday, Wauseon is at Eagle Rock Golf Club in Defiance for a tri-match with Bryan and Defiance. The NWOAL Tournament is Friday beginning at 9 a.m. at Auglaize Golf Club.
