Wauseon, Swanton, Delta improve position in computer rankings

Another edition of the OHSAA football computer rankings were released on Tuesday with a number of local teams improving their standing.

Both Wauseon and Swanton, just ahead of their monumental showdown on Friday, have moved up.

In Division IV, Region 12, the Indians made the leap from seventh up to third in this latest poll. Wauseon throttled Liberty Center last Friday, 28-7, to improve to 6-1 on the season.

Swanton, still unbeaten at 7-0 after Friday’s 56-28 win at Patrick Henry, moved up a spot to fourth in the rankings for Division V, Region 16.

Archbold, who has won its last two games, including a 24-0 shutout of Bryan on Friday, is in 13th place.

Delta is back in playoff position in Division VI, Region 20, thanks to a 45-26 over Evergreen. The Panthers are currently seventh in the region.
