DEFIANCE – The Northwest Ohio Athletic League golf title was as close as it was going to be, as Archbold, Wauseon and Bryan were all tied for first heading into Friday’s league golf championships at Auglaize Golf Course in Defiance.

Archbold, by shooting a team total of 321, won the tournament and the league title, the first in school history. With regular season results included they finish their NWOAL season with 15 points. The Streaks joined Wauseon, Bryan and Swanton as the only current league teams to win an NWOAL golf title.

The Blue Streaks’ Ian Radabaugh shot a 74 to earn medalist honors. Fellow Streaks, Elijah Miller and D.J. Schroeder, tied for eighth as each shot an 82.

Brandon Miller posted an 83, while Brenden Bostelman and Trevor Rupp each had an 84.

Wauseon was third in the tournament with a score of 336, but it was enough to finish runner-up in the final league standings with 13 points.

Brady Rupp paced the Indians as he tied for second in the individual standings by shooting a 75. Joel Studer of Liberty Center also had a 75.

Next for Wauseon was Anna Marshall with an 80, Tyler Clausen 87, C.J. Moser 94 and Chase Brock 95.

Swanton took fourth place honors with a score of 340, helping to tie them for third in the league with Bryan and Liberty Center. Each totaled out at 11 league points.

For the Bulldogs, Devin Jones tied for fourth in the tournament after posting a 78. Sam Williams added an 83, Carter Swank 88, Austin Luce 91 and Mark Lair 92.

Delta ended up sixth in the NWOAL after placing sixth in the tournament. The Panthers shot a 368 and finished with nine league points.

Michael Thomas led them with an 88, Drew Mattin 89, Jay Vann 91, Chase Sandusky 100, Tim Sonick 103 and Brady Wymer 105.

Patrick Henry (370) placed behind the Panthers and ahead of Montpelier (396) and Evergreen (398).

Evergreen finished ninth in the tournament and tied for last in the league with Montpelier. Travis Mersing led the Vikings with a 98.
