Sheriff Roy E. Miller has announced that the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a traffic enforcement blitz from July 12-16. Deputies will be working various hours and locations around Fulton County and will be looking for distracted driving, seat belt, speed, and impaired driving violations.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office issued nine citations during a Traffic Enforcement Blitz conducted July 1-5. The citations were issued for eight speed violations and one driving under the influence of alcohol violation. Deputies made 26 traffic stops and also issued 19 warnings.
The blitzes are funded from a grant that was awarded to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office by the Ohio Department of Public Safety. The grant pays for extra patrol to enforce the traffic laws that will increase the safety of motorists on the roadways in the areas that are prone to a higher number of serious and fatal crashes.
