Following a very rainy start to Wednesday, a flood watch has been issued for Fulton County. It is in effect through late tonight.
One or more rounds of thunderstorms are expected into late tonight along and north of Route 30, according to the National Weather Service Northern Indiana office. Some locations could see 1 to 2 inches of rain through this afternoon with additional heavy rainfall likely tonight. Locally higher amounts will be possible.
Even though water has started to recede in some areas, high water levels and saturated ground conditions will quickly lead to renewed flooding and life threatening situations.
Also a flood warning is in effect for the Tiffin River. Minor to moderate flooding is expected.
