Staff report

The Pike X-L 4-H Club invites the public to the Memorial Day service being held Monday, May 29, around 11 a.m., at Aetna (Winameg) Cemetery.

The memorial service is presented by the 4-H members with the assistance of the Delta High School Band, the Delta American Legion, and support from the Pike Township trustees.

The 4-H club will continue a traditional began with the Fulton County Opportunity School. The gravesites of veterans at Winameg Cemetery will be honored for their service with a luminary. The luminaries will be placed on May 25 and remain in place through Memorial Day.

This community service activity has become a special way to honor veterans and a fallen officer interred in the cemetery. Carol Crisman is recognized for assisting annually in helping place batteries.
