Two citations were issued during a Traffic Enforcement Blitz conducted by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office April 29-30. Both citations were for speed violations. During the blitz an arrest was made on an outstanding warrant for domestic violence. Deputies made 22 traffic stops, and also issued 20 warnings.
The sheriff’s office will conduct another traffic blitz, designated “Prom Blitz,” May 6-7 and May 13-14 in conjunction with proms being held at Archbold, Evergreen, Wauseon, and Delta high schools. Deputies will work at various hours and in various locations around the county, looking for impaired drivers and other violations associated with impaired driving.
The traffic blitzes are funded through a grant from the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
