Annual Olive Pit

First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ ) Chi Rho youth group will host the annual Olive Pit on Wednesday, March 15. An all you can eat spaghetti buffet begins at 6 p.m., followed by a variety show at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 per adult and $5 per child age 10 and under. Members of Chi Rho, grades 5-8, will serve and provide the entertainment. Proceeds support the annual Heritage Trip.

Breakfast buffet, Saturday, March 4, 7:30-11 a.m., All-you-can-eat pancakes, French toast, eggs to order. On the buffet: scrambled eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, make your own toast. Coffee, milk, orange juice. Adults, $8; ages 9-12, $5 with paid adult; ages eight and under, free with paid adult. Hosted by Sons of the American Legion.

Fish fry

St. Caspar Knights of Columbus fish fry, Friday, March 3, 4:30-7 p.m., St. Caspar Catholic Church Life Center, 1205 N. Annual soup and pie dinner, Sunday, March 5, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., St. Luke Lutheran Church, 1588 State Highway 108, 3 miles south of Wauseon. Chili, chicken noodle, and vegetable soups, hot turkey sandwiches, hot dogs, variety of salads, homemade pies, and brownies. Freewill donation.

Pike X-L 4-H

Spring Cleaning fundraiser

The Swanton High School Band is having a “Spring Cleaning” fundraiser April 28-29, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., to purchase new uniforms. We will collect bags/boxes of clothes, shoes, purses, book bags, linens, blankets, and other cloth items. Drop-off is the Easter Seals truck in the high school parking lot.
