Park-O-Rama offers good time in Metamora

Staff Report

The string of summer festivals continues in Fulton County this weekend as Metamora hosts the annual Park-O-Rama on Saturday.

The day starts off with a 5K run and walk. There is still time to sign up for the run with same day registration beginning at 8 a.m. The cost will be $20 if registering on Saturday.

The run will begin at 8:30 a.m. at 223 W. Main Street, near the intersection of Fulton and Swanton streets. Watch for signs.

There will be awards for the top three finishers in each age group.

But the 5K is far from the only attraction at this year’s Park-O-Rama. A craft show and flea market will kick off at 9 a.m.

A car show gets underway at 11 a.m. The parade will be at 12 p.m.

A fireman’s challenge will begin at 1 p.m. At the same time chicken dinners will be served and kids games will be offered.

There are also several other competitions in which to partake. A volleyball tournament begins at 11 a.m., soccer and corn hole tournaments start at 2 p.m. and a euchre tournament begins at 2:30 p.m.
