Archbold woman sentenced for trespass offense

An Archbold woman was sentenced to community control Monday in Fulton County Common Pleas Court for attempted trespassing in an occupied home.

Carol A. Arend, 54, previously pleaded guilty to attempted trespass in a habitation when a person is present or likely to be present, according to Prosecutor Scott Haselman. On or about June 21, 2016, Arend attempted to trespass in a habitation in Archbold when a person was present or likely to be present.

She was sentenced by Judge James E. Barber to one year of community control, and ordered to: pay prosecution costs and counsel fees; not consume or possess alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs; sucessfully complete the Changing Offender Behavior Treatment Program; and abide by an 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew.

Failure to comply could result in seven months in prison.
