Farms, facts and fun

Students from throughout Fulton County got a first hand look at agriculture last week. The 12th annual Fulton County Ag Fest, hosted by the Fulton Soil and Water Conservation District, was held at the Fulton County Fairgrounds last Tuesday and Wednesday. Ag Fest is a two day event that is attended by Fulton County third graders, including parochial and home school students. This year over 750 students attended the event. During the Ag Fest experience, students spent the day rotating around to several different stations where they learned about various agricultural topics such as soils, farm safety, pork, dairy, bees and more.
