Chili Cook Off in Wauseon Saturday

The 2016 Wauseon Chili Cook Off and Family Fest will be held this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Wauseon.

The events will include free family entertainment, craft and food vendors, artisans and an art show, and of course, chili judging, The chili judging begins at 11:30 a.m.

Hand stamps will allow attendees to vote for their favorite chili. A hand stamp is $5 for adults and $2 for kids 10 and under.

There will be People’s, Mayor’s and Judge’s Choice awards.

Among the free activities planned for the festival are face painting, train rides, kids inflatables, Ronald McDonald meet and greet, kid’s fingerprinting and health screenings. Happy the Clown, Blaze the Fire Dog, and McGruff the Crime Dog will be on hand.
