Motorists cited in traffic blitz

Eleven motorists were issued citations for speed violations during a Traffic Enforcement Blitz conducted by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office between Sept. 14-19. Deputies made 34 traffic stops, and also issued 23 warnings.

The sheriff’s office will conduct another traffic blitz between Sept. 22-25 during various hours at various locations around the county. Deputies will look for impaired drivers and violations associated with impaired driving.

The traffic blitzes are funded through a grant from the Ohio Department of Public Safety. The department recently awarded the sheriff’s office two traffic enforcement grants totaling $34,458.13, to be used between Oct. 1, 2016, and Sept. 30, 2017.
