Wauseon man sentenced for grand theft

Two Individuals were sentenced in the Fulton County Common Pleas Court, according to county prosecutor Scott A. Haselman.

Sentenced on Aug. 18, was Renee Nino, 38, of 338 Joanna Dr., Wauseon, who previously pleaded guilty to Misuse ot Credit Cards. On Jan. 5 2016, she used an elderly person’s debit card and withdrew cash from an ATM.

Judge James E. Barber sentenced Nino to 1 year of community control and ordered her to pay restitution of $400 to the victim, not to work in the health field, take a Theft Education Course, seek and maintain employment, and serve 2 days In CCNO within 60 days. Nino’s vehicle, which was used in the commission of the offense, was forfeited to the Village of Archbold.

Failure to comply could result in Nino spending 7 months in prison.

Sentenced on Aug. 19, was Austin Waidelich, 31, of 1285 N. Shoop Ave., Lot 59, Wauseon, who previously pleaded guilty to grand theft. Between Nov. 25, 2012 and April 8, 2015, he stole unemployment benefits in the form of cash.

Judge Barber sentenced Waidelich to 4 years of community control and ordered him to pay restitution of $11,229 to the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services, complete the Changing Offenders Behavior Treatment Program through Western District Court, not possess or consume alcohol, stay out of bars/taverns, and serve 30 days in CCNO.

Failure to comply could result in Waidelich spending 12 months in prison.
