State Representative Rob McColley (R-Napoleon) was recently honored by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation with the 2016 Friend of Agriculture award.
McColley has been an avid supporter of Ohio’s agriculture industry, recognizing that a strong economy relies heavily on the continued success of the state’s top industry. McColley has also been actively involved in ongoing discussions relevant to Ohio farmers, such as the CAUV property tax valuation as well as nutrient management plans in order to reduce phosphorus runoff.
“Agriculture plays an integral role in our economy,” said McColley. “In northwest Ohio, many of our communities are unified through agriculture. Agriculture promotes commerce and growth for our region. I am proud to accept the 2016 Friend of Agriculture award for these reasons.”
The Ohio Farm Bureau Federation works to support Ohio’s farming and agricultural community through advocacy and education on current issues.
