Fulton County seniors are invited to an upcoming tour of the Fulton County Historical Society museum, followed by a luncheon at the Wauseon Senior Center on Tuesday, July 14. The museum tour will begin at 11 a.m., followed by lunch at the Senior Center at noon. The Fulton County Museum is located at 229 Monroe St. in Wauseon.
The museum is featuring the final installment of “Hell & Homefront: Civil War through Fulton County Eyes,” exhibit. At the museum, visitors will see an original newspaper announcing Lincoln’s assassination; a soldier’s diary notes about the surrender of CSA General Lee’s army and a scale model of the Fulton County Home in Ottokee that was used to house infirmed soldiers after the war.
Please make a lunch reservation by Friday, July 10 at 419-337-9299. Suggested lunch donation of $1.50 for Fulton County seniors 60 and over. Suggested donation of $3.50 for non-seniors and out-of-county residents.
