Former coach Larry Fruth honored


Former longtime Wauseon football coach Larry Fruth, front, with his wife Sharon at his side as well as other family members, has the stadium named in his honor at halftime of Friday night’s game against Archbold. Wauseon’s field will now be known as Larry Fruth Stadium at Harmon Field. Fruth was the Indians’ coach from 1960-1983, where he accumulated 141 wins, along with leading his teams to 5 NWOAL titles and 3 NBL titles.
