The next Pettisville Agricultural Education meeting for adult farmers and landowners will focus on ways to protect honey fees while completing farm work. It will be held Monday, March 7, 7 p.m., in the school’s Pettisville Agriculture Room.
The presenters will be Amy Stone, an educator with the Lucas County Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension and Karen Wood, an urban farmer, beekeeper, and Extension master gardener volunteer. They will share information on the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s Ohio Sensitive Crop Registry, and lead a discussion on the bee population.
