Swanton theft investigated


The Fulton County Crime Stopper program is looking for help in solving a Swanton area theft. Authorities are investigating a theft at 5225 County Road 1-2 that occurred sometime between Dec. 1-19.

A boat and locked cabin were entered and stolen were a Lowrance GPS, a ship to shore CB style radio, and 12 custom rods and reels, three of which are a G Loomis black fishing rod, a St. Croix green fishing rod, and a black homemade fishing rod with a rainshadow sticker and J. Snyder under the clear-coat, above the handle.

The value of these items is estimated at $2,703.

Anyone with information concerning this crime that could lead to the arrest of the persons involved should contact the Fulton County Crime Stopper hotline at 1-800-255-1122. Anyone with information about this or any other felony will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 cash. The call is confidential and anonymous.

Law enforcement officials are also asking the public to be alert to help stop late night break-ins and thefts, and to also lock their vehicles.
