Five injured in county crash

One adult and four children were seriously injured Saturday in a one-vehicle accident in Franklin Township.

The Toledo post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that a 2002 Dodge Caravan driven by Ashlee Johnson was westbound on US20A near County Road 25-2 in western Fulton County at approximately 11:14 p.m. when it went off the right side of the roadway while negotiating a curve. Johnson over-corrected her steering and traveled across the road and off the lefthand side, when her vehicle overturned and entered back onto the road.

Johnson was transported to the Fulton County Health Center, where she was listed in stable condition. Two children in the vehicle were also transported to FCHC to be evaluated for minor injuries. Two other juvenile passengers were airlifted by LifeFlight to The Toledo Hospital, where they are listed in serious but stable condition.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Fulton County EMS, and Archbold Fire and Rescue.

The accident remains under investigation.
