Woman sentenced for having heroin

A Toledo woman was sentenced in Fulton County Common Pleas Court on Nov. 16 to two years of community control for heroin possession.

Casandra Shay, 32, previously pleaded guilty to possessing heroin on May 17, 2015. Judge James E. Barber also ordered her to pay prosecution costs, including court-appointed attorney fees; serve two days in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, with credit for time served; successfully complete outpatient drug treatment and all aftercare; seek and maintain employment; stay out of bars; and surrender her driver’s license for six months, with limited driving privileges.

Failure to comply could result in 11 months in prison.
