The Fulton County Senior Center is hosting a six-week Diabetes Empowerment Education Program on Tuesdays, beginning May 14, from 9:30-11:45 a.m., at the Fulton County Senior Center, 240 Clinton St., in Wauseon.
Robert Sullivan, of the Area Office on Aging, will lead the class and provide education on how diabetics can best manage their disease while living an active, normal life. Curriculum will cover self-management of diabetes, weight control, eating well with diabetes, and the role of medications with a diabetes diagnosis, among other topics.
Classes will be held every Tuesday for six weeks, ending June 18. They are free and open to the public.
