NSCC Dean of Nursing


Northwest State Community College has announced the hiring of its new Dean of Nursing, Kathy Keister. She will lead a nationally-renowned nursing program that has experienced tremendous achievement in terms of National Council Licensure Examination exam passage rates and job placement in healthcare facilities throughout northwest Ohio. Keister graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology in 1979, and a BSN in Nursing in 1982. She earned her MS in Nursing in 1988 from the University of Illinois at Chicago, then earned her PhD in Nursing in 2004 from Case Western Reserve University. She was previously an associate professor at Wright State University in Dayton, and held education positions at Miami University, Owens Community College, and the Medical College of Ohio, among others.
