The Fulton Soil and Water Conservation District and Naves Aviation Ltd. will host the Conservation Air Tour at the Fulton County Airport on Saturday, Oct. 6, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
The flights will start from Fulton County Airport, 9460 County Road 14, north of County Road J. A rain date is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 13.
Participants choose an eastern or western direction of flight; they may fly over their home and farm or other areas of interest. Flights will be approximately 20 minutes. Planes have a seating capacity of three or five passengers, so bring neighbors to fill the plane. Also bring a camera to take photos from the air. Conservation of the land is easily spotted from above.
No reservations are taken. This is charitable event, as per FAA regulation 91.146. The Life Flight helicopter will be available for viewing if it is not needed. Pettisville High School FFA and Alumni will serve lunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
This year marks the 50th anniversary for the Fulton County Airport.
