County students earn honors, degrees

The Ohio State University

COLUMBUS – The administration of The Ohio State University has announced those students who were named to the Dean’s List for the 2015 summer semester. Locally, Anthony Kohls of Wauseon qualified as he carried a minimum of 12 graded credit hours and had at least a grade point average of 3.50.

Also, Clay Burkholder of Fayette earned his Bachelors of Science in Environmental and Natural Resources.

University of Findlay

FINDLAY – The University of Findlay recently welcomed new undergraduate and graduate students to campus. New students began their studies at UF on Monday, Aug. 17. UF’s total enrollment is 4,200 students.

Local students include Alexis Witt of Delta, who is pursuing a degree in nursing. Witt is a graduate of Wauseon High School.

Sarah Wyse of Archbold is pursuing a master’s degree in education.

Heidelberg University

TIFFIN – Dominic Frey, a sophomore business administration and integrated media major from Wauseon is serving in the key role of Admissions Ambassador at Heidelberg University during the 2015-16 academic year.

A total of 35 students are a key early contact for prospective students and their families who are considering enrolling at Heidelberg. As ambassadors, the students give campus tours and share their own personal Heidelberg stories with future students.
