Pettisville Meats Inc. has announced a voluntary recall of approximately 1,700 pounds of Oven Ready Rossman’s Ham Loaf due to an undeclared allergen. The ham loaf product contains eggs, a known allergen which is not declared on the product label.
The Oven Ready Rossman’s Ham Loaf product was produced between Feb. 4, 2014 and May 15, 2015, and packaged with two different labels. One label bears the establishment number EST. 1240 inside the Ohio mark of inspection, and the second is a retail only label that does not bear the mark of inspection. This product was sold through the company’s retail market in Pettisville.
The problem was discovered during a routine label review by Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) Division of Meat Inspection personnel.
