A rare bout of severe weather battered parts of Fulton County on Sunday, causing widespread damage. Archbold and Wauseon seemed to be among the areas hardest hit by the storms.
It was reported that a local girl was hurt due to the downed electrical lines in Wauseon. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Branches were down all over Wauseon and there was some damage at Harmon Field. At one point on Sunday, Wauseon Police asked residents to stay inside so that tree limbs and power lines could be cleared by the city public works and police departments and Toledo Edison.
In Archbold, the ConAgra plant sustained substantial damage, including to the roof. Insulation from the plant was blown to the Archbold football field and nearby homes.
It was closed Sunday night and Monday.
