ODOT hosting career fair

BOWLING GREEN – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 2 is in search of seasonal employees for the upcoming winter season and will host three regional winter seasonal career fairs in October, including one in Fulton County.

Career fair attendees will be able to apply for a winter seasonal position, have a driving record check completed, take a required physical abilities test and interview for the position.

Plowing snow is the primary job responsibility for winter seasonal positions. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent; a valid class A or B commercial driver’s license (CDL), without air brake restriction; and three months of training or experience in basic equipment operation.

A total of 33 positions are available in Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, Williams, and Wood counties. Those interested in the career fair are encouraged to apply in advance at careers.ohio.gov. Filter by “Department”, and select “Transportation – District 02”.

Locally, there will be a career fair at the new Fulton County Garage, 8827 State Route 108, Wauseon, across from the Fulton County Fairgrounds. It will be Wednesday from 2-7 p.m.
