Opera house presents ‘Down Home’

The Fayette Opera House and the Bean Creek Valley History Center will present “Down Home at the Opera House,” a bi-annual fundraising event, Saturday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. at the opera house.

Local artists performing will include emcee Steve Snider, Colleen Rufenacht and Go Kart John, Aubrie Calvin of West Unity, and Squeeze Play from Archbold.

The featured performers are The Galbraith Clan from Metamora. The father and daughters trio of John and Laura Galbraith and Lindsay Daniels plays old country, bluegrass, gospel, and Irish tunes on guitar, flute, and bagpipes.

Doors open at 105 E. Main St. in Fayette at 6 p.m., with admittance to Ginnivan Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 each, and can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com or reserved to be held at the box office at 419-237-2721. Payment at the box office will be cash or check only. There will be a meet and greet with refreshments after the show.
