Centenarian going strong


Vera Schmidt, who turned 100 this January, has been part of the Hospitality Services Mentoring program at Four County Career Center for the past 15 years. She has seen many students grow through the program and currently, Tanner VandeBussche (Patrick Henry) is mentoring with her. Vera resides at Farilawn Retirement Community. The program has been utilizing several off-campus job sites as part of their lab training for the past 16 years.
